“We are celebrating the Chinese New Year. We are so happy to do this. We haven’t done that in two years,” said Sandy Fong, president of Market City. “We thought it was a good time to go ahead and do our usual celebration, our annual celebration that we do every year.”
“It’s about repelling all evil and bringing all good luck. So, we hope we will have good health, lots of prosperity and good business for all of our tenants in Market City,” Fong explained.
“Oh, I’m so amazed. It’s one of the biggest crowds we’ve had, and I think people are so hungry to go out and be normal and celebrate again. I wish everyone a very Happy New Year this Year of the Tiger on behalf of Market City,” Fong continued.
The Market City Mall is located at the corner of Kapiolani Boulevard and Kapahulu Avenue, and it opened in 1948.
