BRANFORD, CT – Aldi told Patch Monday that its new store in Branford will open June 23 at 8:30 a.m. The store will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The first 100 customers will receive a gift card under the ALDI Golden Ticket gift card distribution program. Shoppers can also enter raffles for a chance to win a $500 ALDI gift card.
“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier, and we’ve been voted the price leader for five consecutive years,” said Chris Daniels, regional vice president of South Windsor for ALDI. “We are thrilled to open our first ALDI store in Branford and introduce local customers to a new, more affordable way to shop.
A year after its final approval by the city’s planning and zoning commission, the no-frills German family grocer is set to open its doors, a few days earlier than planned.
Here’s what buyers can expect.
ALDI is on track to open 150 new stores and become the third-largest U.S. food retailer by number of stores by the end of this year.
ALDI’s business model is “intentionally different, and the result is a fast and affordable shopping experience,” according to a company press release. “ALDI fans across the country rave about the company’s award-winning exclusive brands and the weekly range of limited-time ALDI finds.”
