SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) – Police are investigating a shoplifting incident where two men walked out of a business with a shopping cart full of merchandise.
Officers were called to the 5500 block of West 41st Street for shoplifting on Tuesday afternoon.
An employee told police that two men filled a cart with items and walked out of the store with them. When the employee tried to stop the men, one of them shoved him. The suspects put the items in their car and drove off, police said.
“Then they loaded their vehicle and started to pull out of the parking lot. However, as they started to pull out of the parking lot, they also swerved their vehicle towards the employee,” Police Department Sgt. Sean Kooistra said. of Sioux Falls.
As they drove away, the suspects swerved in an attempt to hit the employee, but managed to get out of the way.
Police say the suspects are two Native American men. The employee described the first man as a 20 to 30-year-old man about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 180 to 190 pounds. The second suspect is described as a man between 30 and 40 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 260 to 280 pounds.
The suspects wore face coverings, black jackets and blue jeans.
