The Starkville Mall is almost open to the public

Lots of people passed him on Hwy 12 in Starkville watching and waiting

Starkville, Miss. (WCBI) – Many people passed him on Highway 12 in Starkville watching and waiting. Triangle Crossing is almost ready to open; some stores are closer to opening day than others.

Triangle Crossing will open soon and the developers expect the parking lot and Highway 12 to be full.

The center will include Aldi, Rack Room Shoes, Marshalls, etc. Five Below will be the first to open on September 2, 2022.

“The rest of the tenants will all be opening in October at different times by the end of October all stores will be open,” said developer Mark Castleberry.

Castleberry said the contractor came on site in October 2021; so seeing how far he has come in less than a year amazes him.

The center will not only be good for buyers.

“It will employ about 200 people and it’s a major employer and it will generate about $35 million in annual sales,” Castleberry said.

Despite parts and labor shortages, Castleberry credits his team for being one step ahead of the challenges that continue to hamper others.

He feels the center will benefit the entire community in more ways than one.

“I think because people don’t go to other areas to shop, they don’t go to other areas to eat in restaurants and do other things, so there will be other side benefits. for the community,” Castleberry said.

The mall will have a grand opening and ribbon cutting on November 2, 2022, at 10 a.m.
