FARGO – A Pandora jewelry store will open later this spring or summer in the West Acres mall.
West Acres announced the new store in a post on its Facebook page on Thursday, March 31.
“A little extra sparkle is making its way to West Acres…We’re thrilled to share that Pandora will be opening this summer!” the post read.
Alissa Adams, COO of West Acres Development, welcomed the store in a statement to the Forum.
“We are thrilled to welcome Pandora to the West Acres family later this spring/early summer. Pandora is well known for its selection of high-quality, hand-finished jewelry at affordable prices. Construction of the store, which will feature a sleek, modern design, set to debut in April,” Adams said.
The store will be located in the space formerly occupied by Wimmer’s Diamonds between T-Mobile and Tradehome Shoes.
In 2021, Wimmer’s Diamonds closed its West Acres store and location at 604 Main Avenue to consolidate operations at their new store at 4582 32nd Ave. S., near the Blu Water Creek shopping area in Fargo.
Pandora was created 40 years ago in Copenhagen, Denmark, by Danish silversmith Per Enevoldsen and his wife, Winnie.
According to the Pandora website, the couple began by importing jewelry from Thailand and elsewhere to wholesale to customers in Denmark. But after a few years, they hired their first in-house designer and started creating their own unique jewelry.
The business really took off after Pandora launched its charm bracelet concept in 2000.
“Consumers embraced the concept, and in the years that followed, driven by growing and encouraging demand, the company began to expand internationally, entering new markets such as the United States in 2003 and l ‘Germany and Australia in 2004’, according to the Pandora website. .
Today, their products are sold in more than 70 countries on six continents through more than 10,300 points of sale, including around 900 concept stores.
