A thief steals goods and an electric shopping cart in Meijer: Seven Hills Police Blotter

SEVEN HILLS, Ohio

Theft: Broadview Road

On June 9, police were dispatched to Meijer regarding an ongoing robbery at the Broadview Road store.

The caller said the suspect left the store wearing a blue hoodie and driving an electric cart which was near the corner of Broadview Road and Orchardview Avenue.

An arriving officer located the man from Cleveland, who had various items in the cart. When asked about the merchandise, the thief admitted to stealing the items, worth more than $753.

The cart, worth $1,340, also belonged to the store. The suspect was arrested for theft.

Stolen Lawnmower: Orchardview Avenue

On June 11, police were dispatched to Orchardview Avenue after a resident discovered someone had stolen his lawn mower.

An arriving officer spoke to the resident, who said after returning home from vacation she found her robotic lawnmower, which had been programmed to mow the lawn days earlier, missing.

Apparently the mower started mowing, but due to the rain it stopped and never returned to the charging station.

While the neighbors had surveillance cameras, none detected the theft. There are no suspects. The police are investigating.
